The aim of this popular workshop is to introduce you to a ‘toolbox’ of techniques, information and advice that will help raise awareness of personal stress levels, support active stress management, promote self-care, a good life-work balance and encourage further exploration of other techniques that may be helpful to you.
We will explore a variety of therapies and techniques in a way that focuses on self-care and aids relaxation. Topics covered will include:
The workshop will take the form of some theoretical teaching with the main focus being on demonstration and practical experience. By the end of the workshop day participants will:
This workshop is ideal for individuals looking to take some time out to refocus, restore energy levels, learn how to take care of their own health and well-being, and reignite their inspiration and motivation for life. The day is informal, educational, and hopefully fun! Full workshop notes included.
This workshop is also suitable for charitable organisations, community groups and other not-for-profit organisations that want to support staff whose roles include providing counselling and emotional support to their client group. The workshop can be held in-house and reduced rates are available for these organisations and charged per group rather than individual basis. - An introduction to mindfulness and how it can help.
- Relaxation, guided visualisation and the breath as effective stress management techniques.
- Aromatherapy and massage to aid relaxation.
- An introduction to emerging energy therapies you can use for self care including acupressure, sound and vibrational techniques you can use at home to encourage and support relaxation and well-being.
- An introduction to Emotional Freedom Techniques (Tapping).
- How diet can affect our ability to manage and cope with stress - simple changes that can make a big difference.
